Robyn and Röyksopp have premiered the new music video for an abbreviated version of “Monument,” the epic, opening track of their recent EP, Do It Again, via Vice’s art and technology network the Creators Project. Minutes before unveiling the clip this morning, Robyn took to Twitter to describe it as “some kind of inner journey, space in time and the experience of your own body.” Sporting platform sneakers, a simple gray sweatshirt emblazoned with a peace symbol, and her trademark mullet, Robyn is suspended on a giant glowing orb somewhere between the creation of molecular cells and the cosmos. The dreamy, hallucinogenic vibe recalls Madonna and Mark Romanek’s surrealist homage “Bedtime Story” from 1995. “Monument” was directed by Max Vitali, who was previously at the helm of Robyn’s viral sensation “Call Your Girlfriend.” Watch “Monument” below!
Robyn and Röyksopp’s Do It Again Tour hits North America this month, with dates in New York, Boston, Chicago, and Toronto.
