Olivia Rodrigo has released “Drop Dead,” the first single from her third album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So In Love. The album, due June 12, is the follow-up to the singer-songwriter’s multi-platinum hit Guts.

Though the new album’s verbose title is a departure from that of Rodrigo’s first two efforts, “Drop Dead,” co-written and produced by longtime collaborator Dan Nigro, doesn’t stray too far from indie synth-pop style of her past hits. In the song, Rodrigo drops apparent references to her ex-boyfriend, British actor Louis Partridge (“Pieces and a Gemini/But I think we might go really nice together”), and the Cure (“You know all the words to ‘Just Like Heaven’).

Directed by Petra Collins, the lo-fi music video for “Drop Dead” sees Rodrigo wandering the Palace of Versailles, which is also name-checked in the song’s lyrics. “You’re looking like an angel on the walls of Versailles,” she sings at one point.
