Nearly 25 years after Kylie Minogue released the iconic music video for her single “Come into My World,” the Aussie pop singer has teamed up with the clip’s original director, acclaimed filmmaker Michel Gondry, and Chanel for a new handbag ad campaign starring Margot Robbie. The commercial features a cameo by Minogue herself, appearing in a second-story window as Robbie rushes down a flight of stairs just beneath her.

Named the best music video of the 2000s and one of the greatest videos of all time by Slant, “Come into My World” itself was a nod to Zbigniew Rybczynski’s innovative short film “Tango.” The choreographic precision of the original clip is, perhaps, more impressive for its time than the Chanel ad, but both successfully capture the negotiation of space that is life in a bustling city and hint at the more metaphysical aspects of everyday existence.
Co-written and co-produced by ’90s hitmaker Cathy Dennis, “Come into My World” served as the final single from Minogue’s 2001 album Fever, which also spawned the global hit “Can’t Get You Out of My Head.” In 2004, “Come into My World” won the Grammy award for Best Dance Recording.
