Game developer IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios have unveiled Lana Del Rey’s new song “First Light,” a collaboration with James Bond composer David Arnold. The track is the official theme song from the forthcoming video game 007 First Light, an original, reimagined origin story of James Bond that marks Arnold’s return to the Bond franchise for the first time since 2008’s Quantum of Solace.
For Del Rey, who’s lamented the fact that her song “24” (which ended up on her album Honeymoon) was passed over in favor of Sam Smith’s “Writing’s on the Wall” for the 2015 Bond film Spectre, “First Light” may offer some temporary solace. Set to opulent orchestration, squealing guitars, and dramatic backing vocals, the song finds the singer wondering: “Is it real or is it fate?”

007 First Light will be released on May 27. IO Interactive will host a viewing party to reveal the full opening sequence starting at noon PT tomorrow.
