Phoebe Bridgers has dropped “Lost Boys,” her first original material in four years. The new song serves as the lead single from her third studio album, Lost Weekend, the follow-up to 2020’s acclaimed Punisher.

Produced by Bridgers alongside Tony Berg, Ethan Gruska, and Jack Antonoff, with additional production by Alex G, “Lost Boys” is a jangly indie-pop ditty that mixes synths and Vocoder with lush strings and trumpets. The lyrics are sweetly nostalgic: “In a twin bed/Where all will be forgiven in an instant/Hands in each other’s hair/We are born again,” she sings.

The magical-realist music video for “Lost Boys,” directed by Lance Oppenheim and Pablo Rochat, sees Bridgers taking part in live-action roleplay at a Renaissance Faire. When the rennies crash a convenience store, she surreptitiously enlists the curious clerk, played by Skyler Gisondo, blurring the line between reality and fantasy.
