Hello and welcome back to the podcast! Clearly you’ve missed us during our hiatus, but I’m happy to say that Lichman and Rizov are back with the arrogant debauchery and drinking that you’ve come to despise and love. To get us back into the swing of things for our tenth (technically 9th, but who’s counting?) episode we bring on Andrew Unterberger (Intensities in Ten Suburbs) to wax poetic on being a winner of VH1’s “World Series of Pop Culture,” on being former roommate to Vadim, and on his rather intriguing 100 Years, 66 Villains list.
Vadim and Keith—in his first podcast since becoming THND editor—discuss their likes and dislikes from Tribeca 2008 and we only invoke the Noel Murray Stop-Clock once. But, of course, there’s more to our simple discussion than that and you should listen long and hard to what we have to say.
Next week, Episode 11 will be a rather fun treat to long time THND listeners. We have not only one, but TWO special guests: Odienator and Matt Zoller Seitz. It’s hard to believe that Grassroots could hold so much awesome and tales of frat house hi-jinks, but it did. And it was a blast to record.
So without further ado, welcome us back with a toast and a boast as we invade your ears once again. And as always, if you see either Vadim or me at the bar, go ahead and buy us a drink! John Lichman
