The game is an old-school dungeon-crawler RPG draped in a modern-day anime-style presentation.
The game does a generally solid job of educating the uninformed on how to manage the extensive skill set necessary to prevent shattering Nintendo’s latest handheld in frustration.
If there’s a drawback to the game, it’s that the central hub of Tharsis is comprised exclusively of text-saturated menus.
The Drowned City isn’t for the fair-weather player.
