For artistic representation, Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer gets a near-perfect score, less so for its restrained sense of fun.
Like I Am Sam, it is easy to laugh at Marc Evans’s Snow Cake because sincerity appears to have had nothing to do with its creation.
The film is a wild orchestration of flamboyantly touching images and fair ground theatrics.
An enjoyable DVD release of a wonderfully strange film.
