My wife and I have been huge fans of the Canadian Cirque du Soleil since it first played in Los Angeles at an Arts Festival in 1986.
Bobby is an overly earnest bit of hero worship buried amidst an especially pedestrian, multi-narrative melodrama.
It lacks the comic mastery of Kingpin and Shallow Hal’s cutting insights about body image, but it’s still a big-hearted charmer.
