I do not own a PlayStation 3, but if I did—and lived in a country with universal health care—I would probably download MUBI's new application. It's free apparently.

The Huffington Post looks at the funniest unintentionally sexual album covers ever.

We're still some six months away from the release of Tree of Life and news is beginning to come out about Terrence Malick's next project.

John Carpenter is set to direct an adaptation of Darkchylde, producing alongside the comic book's creator, Randy Queen.

I'd reply David, but I'm too busy trying to find my head while contending with a neck and truck full of shit. :) Actually, I've never quite understood the appeal of Olbermann as far back as when he was on ESPN. That he and I disagree politically on most things only widens the gulf. But he can certainly speak his mind all he wants as can I. Peace.

Jon Stewart is fast becoming Victor Hugo (as in the classic saying "Victor Hugo is a lunatic who thinks he's Victor Hugo") Jon's notion of "nice" is a fantasy with no crrelative in real world whatsoever.

I mean, I'm the one that used the word "disease," but since I would rather cut off my arm than vote for a Republican, I'm confused. I don't have a problem with what Olbermann says (I agree with just about everything that comes out of his mouth), just how he chooses to say it...and I think Jon Stewart would agree with me on that.

For instance, O'Reilly basically had the night off except for a quick 5 min interview before the polls closed. MSNBC would be better served by staffing the night with reporters not commentators. The idiocy of Bachmann's previous statements were obscured by the obnoxiousness of Matthews. FWIW, I tend to find myself mostly watching CNN during such events.

Olbermann's rabid-dog self-righteousness reached a fever pitch during the tail-end of Dubya's reign, and it clearly spread to Matthews (Maddow is also beginning to show signs of the disease). This job, though, necessitates that I consume the lunacy of FOX and the smugness of MSNBC in equal measure. Olbermann and Matthews may be douches, but I expect as much fairness and balance from them as I do from Glenn Beck. What I do expect from a politician, regardless of their affiliation, is question-specific answers when they agree to chat with these news people. What's stopping Bachmann from saying that she was wrong about what she said...unless she still believes what she said?
Posted by Ed Gonzalez on 2010-11-03 20:38:34 I'm right of center politically but far from a fan of Michelle Bachmann. Her shrill rhetoric almost always leaves me shaking my head. Yet, last night's interview reaffirmed why I can't watch MSNBC for more than 5 minutes at a time. Matthews takes the low road and snidely asks Bachmann if she's "in a trance?" What did that accomplish? I don't remember him grilling ANY victors on election night in '08 as to what the hell "hope" and "change" was supposed to mean. Meanwhile, a bitter Olbermann can be heard laughing in the background. The successor to Edward R. Murrow he is not. To be sure, there was a buzz in the air on Fox News as commentators were clearly happy about last night's outcome. But I've NEVER seen such open contempt for the "other side" as was on display by the MSNBC panel. It reminded me of Lee Marvin's great line to Robert Ryan in The Dirty Dozen: "You're really quite emotional...aren't you?"
